Building Connections to Humboldt Bay

September 12th, 2016

Humboldt Baykeeper offers fun informative excursions to help kids and teenagers see first-hand the waves and wildlife that make their community so special. Volunteer docents trained in ecology and history help build connections to the Bay for local youth, many of whom have never seen the coast from sea.

Watch Jen Kalt, Director of Humboldt Baykeeper, discuss the program in a short video:

Humboldt Baykeeper partners with the City of Eureka Parks & Recreation Department and Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center to lead free kayak and motorboat tours in both English and Spanish. Email for more information or to sign up.

Special thanks to Ben Pitterle, Santa Barbara Channelkeeper Program Director and filmmaker, for creating the video.
