This July is a special one for California Coastkeeper Alliance (CCKA), as it marks our 20th year defending clean water and healthy coastlines for California. To celebrate, CCKA has partnered with Gold Country Artists Gallery to develop a special exhibit featuring artwork inspired by water and the ocean. The exhibit, Water Reflections, will be shown for the entire month of July, with 10% of each sale from show generously donated in support of CCKA.
Our ocean and waterways are a source of inspiration and creativity for artists of all mediums. Water Reflections displays diverse artwork from nearly two dozen Northern California artists. Some artists focus on the beauty of water and the life it supports, others on the impacts of industrialization to these critical ecosystems. Just as nature inspires art, we hope that Water Reflections inspires appreciation for the waterways and coastline that bring life and economic power to California.
We encourage you to stop by Gold Country Artists Gallery this July to view the exhibit and support your local artists and water champions. Can’t make it to the gallery but want to support the cause? Check out more of the featured art online, and feel free to contact the gallery to learn more about any of the pieces.
