Happy Swimmable California Day

July 25th, 2017

California Coastkeeper Alliance works to protect our waters so that they are clean and safe for swimming, surfing, paddling, fishing, wading, and frolicking. Join us on July 25th – Swimmable California Day – to celebrate all of California’s healthy waters and the regulations that protect them.

Share your favorite water fun pic on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #SwimmableCA.

Waterkeepers host paddles, swims, stand-up paddle, kayaks and other events to get people out on and enjoying the water. They also offer lots of ways for you to help keep your local waters clean and swimmable including water quality monitoring, coastal, bay and river cleanups, surveying underwater parks (MPA Watch), capturing ultra-high tide “king tides” events, volunteer dive restoration and research, photo and video documentation. Many Waterkeepers offer education and volunteer experiences for schools and businesses, as well as individuals.
