Help Inland Empire Waterkeeper oppose the Irvine-Corona Expressway Tunnel!
In a weak attempt to ease traffic from the Inland Empire to Orange County, the Irvine-Corona Expressway Tunnel has been proposed as a transportation solution which will travel underneath the Santa Mountains of Cleveland National Forest. This remaining open space forms one of the largest intact natural landscapes left in Southern California. Many endangered plant and wildlife communities would be negatively impacted by the loss of habitat, lengthy construction time, and resulting air, noise, and watershed pollution. With a staggering projected price tag of $10 billion and a construction time of at least 15 years, please join Inland Empire Waterkeeper in advocating against the development of this costly, environmentally-devastating, and short-sighted transportation project. We need your help to preserve the legacy of Cleveland National Forest as it was originally intended for all future generations.
