New Task Force sets National Ocean Policy

undefinedIn January 2009 President Obama established an Interagency Ocean Policy Task Force led by the White House Council on Environmental Quality to bring cohesiveness to the many agencies involved in marine management.  The Task Force is charged with drafting a national ocean policy that ensures protection, maintenance, and restoration of our oceans and coastlines.  On September 17th, the Task Force held a public hearing San Francisco at which CCKA's Linda Sheehan was invited to provide expert testimony on West Coast water quality.  The Task Force also released its draft Interim Report to the President for a 30-day public review period.  Read the draft report, study joint comments submitted to the Task Force here, attend a future hearing, and submit your own comments to the Council on its report.
