Clean Water Accomplishments

California Coastkeeper Alliance was founded in 1999 with the belief that a healthy ocean and coast and clean water is vital to California’s economy, public health and way of life. We’ve accomplished a lot since then. Check out our infographic below to learn more or get all of the details.

About the Illustrator

Artist April Seymore is an improvisor, science communicator, teacher and sustainability catalyst. She is based in Melbourne, Australia where she is  Executive Officer of the award-winning Port Phillip EcoCentre, home of Port Phillip Baykeeper. April loves seed pods, folk songs, handwritten letters, the fibonacci sequence, lists, snorkelling and extra pockets. She was not born in April.

California Coastkeeper Alliance and California Waterkeeper organizations are members of the international Waterkeeper Alliance, a network of water advocates with over 300 programs in 34 countries on 6 continents led by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. At the annual conference, CCKA Executive Director Sara Aminzadeh spotted April filling her notebook with doodles, facts and figures during climate change panels.
